Nashville, TN Opryland

In December, I was able to fly to Nashville for a short business trip. I ended up having about 5 free hours to spare before flying home, so I went to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. IT... WAS... BEAUTIFUL! If I lived in Nashville, I would go there everyday. It reminded me of the Riverwalk in San Antonio, except all indoors and super clean. It was also super decorated for Christmas. Inside there were lots of shops and restaurants, and I found this delicious buffet restaurant to eat at. There was a delicious salad bar, lots of food choices, but the desserts were the best. They had a cupcake bar, where you could ice and decorate your own cupcake. Plus, you ate right on the edge of the river. In fact, I think the name of the place was the River's Edge, or Waterfront Edge. After enjoying the hotel for a few hours, I decided to try and find the Opryland Mall and the Charlie Brown Ice Sculptures. Well, I found both. The mall was a mall, but the Charlie Brown Ice Sculptures were amazing! They were bigger than life size, there were tons of them (you walk through a little maze with a parka on), and they even had a slide made out of ice. The prettiest thing was the nativity scene at the end made out of clear ice that was absolutely breathtaking. If it wasn't -9 degrees in there, I could have stayed there forever. Plus, my boys were waiting for me back home, so I quickly ended my trip and flew back home to kiss some boys...
