Yummo

So, Kevin and I were watching Rachael Ray with the boys, and he decided he would go to HEB and cook what she was making for dinner. Conveniently, the boys decided to take a nap at the same time, so while we were dozing, Kevin cooked up a delicious dinner. Pasta salad, and huge, blue cheese covered hamburgers. Life is good. You would never guess that Kevin was diagnosed with Bronchitis today at the doctor's office (Rowan is sick, too). How did Kevin get so lucky to have a wife that would willingly sleep the afternoon away and then eat a delicious meal that he prepared while sick?

Just Say No

Food is yummy. Sometimes, I wonder if we truly have agency when I can't seem to say no to food. Replace "food" with "Kevin", and I get the same dilemma...

Hair Dos

Hayden After His Haircut (above) and during (below)

Me, Alora, my mom

My mom and my sister went with me to get our hair died/cut. It was one of Alora's first real hair cuts, and she looks gorgeous. Thanks, Merideth! Hayden got his hair cut, too, and he was so upset by it that he ended up throwing up on the lady. She jut gave him an 8 all over, but he still looks adorable. He is such a handsome little boy. I'll post pics of him as soon as I upload them. I'm supposed to be on vacation right now, but my whole family is sick-hence all of the new blogs.

Rowan

This picture pretty much speaks for itself. Rowan has been going in the potty for the last 3 days in a row! He just smiles when he sees the potty and is an ace at getting the job done. Perhaps, he can teach Hayden a thing or two...

Jill and I did Bunco for August, and our theme was Cooking up Some Summer Fun/Beach Bunco. If you rolled a Bunco (3 dice showing the # 6) then you had to wear the flower bra, if you rolled Boobies (3 dice showing the # 1) then you had to wear the shell bra. Jill and I were the first ones to have to sport the bras, but nearly everyone took a turn. Molly won the costume contest (you can see why for yourself). We had a veggie tray, shrimp tray, hummus, mango salsa, chicken salad, pistachio salad, ambrosia salad, spinach salad, key lime pies, pina colada punch, etc. It was a fun night!

Isabell (Kathy) & Kevin

Kevin and I went out with my friends, Keith & Yvette, and Kris & Tobi to eat. We went to Din Ho and ate Chinese BBQ and then to Melting Pot for dessert. It was very yummy. Tonya and I took Hayden & Shaylee on a date, and Rowan tagged along. They jumped at Inflatables, rode the carousel, & then ate at Chick-Fil-A. Hayden basically just chases Shaylee around wherever she goes. She's his girrrrllllfriend. Kevin is my boyyyyyyfriend. Irene and Lou went with us to eat at the California Pizza Kitchen at the Domain, and the boys had a good time. Gotta love their Miso Seafood Salad...

My sisters Irene, Heather, Alora, Molly and I started off August with a bite by going to the Breaking Dawn book release party at Borders in the Domain. We ate at the California Pizza Kitchen (I'm now addicted to their Miso Seafood Salad), and after realizing we were probably 600 something in line, we went to Wal Mart where they had tons of books and no lines. The book was phenomenal-I wouldn't have changed a thing. I think if you didn't like it, then you must not have understood why she did what she did (of course, I can only guess). If you have any questions-call me ;) The next day, I took my boys to the beach at Lake Buchanan. We had a blast-that lake is beautiful, and our friends have a cool lake house with tons of stuff to do. Then we went to Zilker park and saw Beauty and the Beast. It was awesome-just like the Disney version. The costumes, stage sets, singing, and dancing were all fantastic! We went with Chad and Molly and Molly's whole family, and Hayden loved playing with Nathan (especially eating the yummy cookies Chad brought). Rowan got stung by a bee between the nose there, but he didn't even cry. His face swelled up pretty good, and he had black eyes the next day, but other than that, he was just fine. Chad & Molly got the boys cute Beast stuffed animals and brought yummy food to eat. Kevin's gorgeous self couldn't make it, though- but we still had a great time.
