Happy Halloween 2010

Ladybug, Spiderman, and Darth Vader, oh my! We are about to carve our pumpkins and then get ready to go trick or treating with Nathan and Ella. The boys can't wait, and Nadia is taking a nap. Yesterday, we went to the SpookFest at the Community Center and then partied at the Dial's. Rowan loved trunk or treating, and Hayden was done as soon as his little skull bucket was filled up. Nadia napped in my arms. I tried to eat as much chili and sweets as I could.

We had a wonderful time at the Giard's and trick o treating, this year. We ate yummy chili, hot dogs, zuchini bread, cornbread, pumpkin cookies, and a skull cake with bloody brains that we used to sing happy birthday to Rowan. The boys got lots of candy, and then they all walked over to trick or treat at Lou & Irene's house as I took Nadia home.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Wedding Pics 3/26/04

Kevin decided to clean out our office closet today, and he found a CD with our wedding pics from when we were sealed on 3/26/04 at the Houston temple. Isn't he lovely?

Weekly Photos of Nadia with Fozzy (0-4)

Week 0

Week 1

Week 2

Week 3

Week 4

Every week I take a photo of my babies with Fozzy Bear until they turn one. The blanket they lay on is the one Kevin was taken home from the hospital with that his Aunt Donna made.We acquired Fozzy in Disney World while pregnant with Hayden (Kevin picked him out). We got a few more when we were in Disney World last year, so that each of my kids can have a Fozzy bear when they are older and an album of their weekly Fozzy pics.

Hayden's Career Day

Hayden had Career Day today at school. He said he wanted to be a policeman when he grew up. While there, we ran into his friend Cade's parents, and they said that Cade was going to be Darth Vader for Halloween, which is what Hayden decided to be, so I think Hayden is just going along with others (meaning, I don't think he really wants to be a policeman when he grows up, nor do I think he really likes Darth Vader-Hayden usually hates the bad guys). His school had each kid parade on stage and say their name and then what they wanted to be when they grew up. I wish I had brought my camcorder, but I still tried to capture it on my camera. I also tried to upload it here on this blog, but I'm not sure it is going to work. Hayden was super cute, and he talked really softly, so it was hard to hear him. Grandmama bought him his cute little outfit, and he just looked adorable. His teacher made a video of each of the kids in his class saying why they wanted to be what they chose, and Hayden said that he wanted to be a Policeman so that he could put the bad guys in jail. Previously, Hayden told me he wanted to be a Policeman so that he could help people, but I guess the handcuffs that came with his outfit got him thinking... Whatever Hayden decides to be, I know he'll be good at it. Love ya, Hayden!!

Nadia is One Month Old

Yesterday, on 10-10-10, my baby turned one month old. She's doing great! She still has tons of hair that is super curly when wet and stands on end when dry. It's about 2-3 inches long and dark brown. She sleeps a lot, but will usually sleep at least 6 hours at night, and might be up for about two hours from 4-6. She usually gets out a good cry for at least an hour or two at night. She nurses really well, and it is hard to get her to take a bottle or binky. She likes the old school binkys best, but even then, she will only play with it for a little bit. She fits perfectly into size 0-3 month clothing right now. She even wore newborn size for the first 10 days. Currently, she has blue eyes, but that could change. My boys have been sick all month with either ear infections, colds, coughs, or the latest stomach bug, so it's been hard to keep them from trying to kiss her all day with their germs. I think she looks a lot like her oldest brother, Hayden. She likes to arch her head back and look at everything like he did, too. Plus, she cries a little and wakes up at night a little, like he did (although he cried and was awake much much more). Her eyes are always gooey, and I'm constantly having to wipe them clean. It took about 3 weeks for her umbilical cord to fall off. She enjoys the rocking chair, couldn't care much for the swing. She hates car rides, though, and both of my boys loved them. She weighs about 11.5 pounds right now, so she has gained about 3 pounds in the last month (she dropped to about 8.5 from her birth weight in the first few days). We sure do love her and we're so glad she decided to come join our family.
