To start off the Christmas season, we rode the Polar Express train from Cedar Park to Burnett and back. They give you free hot chocolate before you even board the train. On the train, we had four seats that faced each other, so I was able to stare at Kevin and the boys the whole way. First things first, and the conductor came and punched our tickets. Our next visitor was Mrs. Claus and her elf who handed out Gingerbread cookies. Next, we had Girl Scout Christmas Carolers. Then, we were visited by a storyteller. They saved the best for last, and Santa and his elf came by with train whistles for the boys. On the train, they had one cart that was devoted to giving refreshments and selling souvenirs. Basically, you were able to drink free hot chocolate all night long! The whole ride lasted about 3 hours, and we were even able to see Christmas lights outside our train window. We can't wait to do it again next year and hopefully have at least one more guest to ride with us ;)
