Rowan is Five and Kevin is 36

Celebrating at Chuy's.  Mmmm.  Tres Leches....

My adorable five year old, Rowan. He was nice enough to pick out a Brownie to eat, since Hayden doesn't like cake.
Thanks for the basketball, Noah!

Going down the slide with his basketball  He loved it and said that it was his favorite shape. Round! Just like his head!
Rowan and his 3DSXL that he loves.
Happy Birthday, Babe!

He makes 36 look REAL good.

Celebrating at Chuy's with Kevin's brother Kent, his sons Von and Travor, my family and Billy.

Rowan turned five on November first!  It's hard to believe he will be in Kindergarten, next year, and it's also hard to believe that he already isn't.  He goes to a play group/pre-school every Tuesday with four other kids.  He loves it!  Every five weeks, he goes on a field trip with another group of four kids.  Rowan got a 3DSXL for his birthday and absolutely loves it. He got a few games for it, too (thanks friends and family!).  Now, he'll have something to play with during the long swim meets, this summer.  Rowan is about 80 pounds and about an inch shorter than Hayden.  He recently brought me to tears at the Primary program at church, where all of the kids get up and sing.  He wanted to make me proud and tried his hardest to sing over the other 200 or so kids.  Basically, he was screaming and waving to me.  I was impressed-he knew all of the words!  However, he kept dropping the toy he was playing with and was sort of causing a scene, so Kevin had to take him off of the stage.  Poor buddy.  He's so big that I think people forget he's not even in kindergarten, yet.  He's a real sweetheart, and he loves his build-a-bears.  He went with his grandma to get a new one for his birthday, and he almost didn't want to wait for Hayden to go with him.  He even said a little prayer that he would choose B) to go with his Brother to Build-A-Bear instead of choosing A) to go Alone, but he still typed A about a hundred times on the computer to show me his decision.  Rowan is very photogenic and always has the cutest smile.  He will be starting basketball soon at the Y.  His birthday was a few days before my sister's wedding, so I didn't want to throw a party.  However, we already had relatives in town, so we went to Chuy's to eat and they sang Happy Birthday to Rowan.  Rowan also got some Tres Leches, which he loves.  My brother Chad took Rowan, Hayden, Nathan, and Ella to San Antonio to eat at Rainforest Cafe for Rowan's birthday, too.  They also rode the boat at the Riverwalk.  Rowan wanted me to tell everyone that he also got to keep his cool light-up cup, too.  Plus, it was very, very fun.  My friend, Jennifer, felt bad for Rowan for not getting a real party, so she decided we could meet at the mall for some fun to celebrate.  We ate at the food court and then played at Inflatable Wonderland.  Jennifer and her nephew Noah got Rowan his very first basketball for his birthday.  I told Jennifer I had to get some good photos, just in case he becomes a basketball player, some day.  In fact, his doctor always says he's going to grow up to be a basketball player, and she's been saying that since he was born.  He was born big!  I can't wait to see how he does on the basketball team at the Y, this winter.  I'm sure he will be the tallest on his team.  Kevin turned 36 on November 19th.  We went to eat at Chuy's with his family (brother and twins) who were in town and then had Tres Leches for dessert.  Like Father, Like Son.  Kevin is the best father to our kids and a wonderful husband.  He is always trying his best at what ever he does.  He is mister fix it around the house, and he always gets the highest grade on anything he does in school.  In fact, he was recently asked to be a tudor at school.  I'm soooo proud of him and all that he has accomplished.  I can't wait to see where he'll be on his 40th birthday.  Hopefully, he'll still be in good health-his hemochromatosis has been acting up a bit.  He has osteoarthritis, already.  His iron is high, but his ferritin is low, so it causes him to be tired a lot, too.  However, he is not one to complain and he is in really good shape and looks smokin' hot!  Anyhow, our house is all decorated for Christmas, and we are all really excited to enjoy the rest of this holiday season.  Love my family!!
